Inability to conceive is termed infertility. It occurs when a couple has failed to achieve pregnancy after 12 months despite having regular sexual intercourse.
Problems with infertility are on the rise. One in every six couples has difficulty in conceiving, with the number of couples seeking medical assistance increasing.
Studies have shown that male factor accounts for about 20-30 per cent of infertility, the female factor accounts for 40-50 per cent and 30-40 per cent are due to problems in both men and women.
Conception and pregnancy are complicated processes that include the production of healthy sperm by the man, healthy eggs by the woman, unblocked fallopian tubes that allow the sperm to reach the egg, and the ability of the fertilised egg to implant in the uterus and to grow in a good environmental and hormonal condition. If one of the processes is not working well, then infertility can be the result.
A lot of the causes of infertility are due to toxins in the body that have been accumulated over a long period of time, say, for weeks or months. Some undigested food products can remain in the intestine for up to 200 hours instead of the normal 18 hours and produce toxins that are stored in the body for months or years. Many of these types of toxins can cause infertility in both men and women.
Infertility in female: Obesity or excess weight can lead to polycystic ovarian syndrome and endocrine disorders, which are a major cause of inability to become pregnant. Other causes include the age of the woman. The older she is, the more inefficient her digestive system and more difficult it will be for her to get pregnant. Hormonal imbalance, stress, infections and toxins from the environment and bad diet and eating habits are other reasons women may find it difficult to get pregnant.
Infertility in male: is due to poor sperm and sperm quality, erectile dysfunction or impotence, and genetic factors. All these are caused by environmental toxins as well as toxins produced by a poor diet, which lead to hormonal imbalance and infertility.
The accumulation of these toxins from the environment, which are caused by poor diet and bad eating habits, poor digestion and stress will begin to have negative effects by the time a man reaches the age of 40-55 years. At this time, he experiences an aging phenomenon similar to the menopause that women go through. This is called andropause, which is due to the gradual decline in the level of testosterone (the male hormone).
This decline has many negative effects and can lead to mood swings, depression, erectile dysfunction, fatigue, hair loss, hot flushes, irritable bowel syndrome, urinary problems and weight gain. These conditions may occur faster as a result of exposure to environmental toxins, stress, obesity and infection.
The symptoms can be reduced by going through a general detoxification treatment, body cleansing and, in some cases, bio-identical hormone therapy.
Every day, we are exposed to toxins from our environment, preservatives in food, drugs, cosmetics, stress, poor eating habits and lifestyle which result in premature ageing, allergies, food intolerance, cancer, hormonal imbalance, obesity and infertility.
Over time, these toxins accumulate in the major organs and tissues and if not eliminated or neutralised will lead to auto-intoxification and organ damage. This is why total body cleansing — detoxification — is important. it helps to remove all these toxins.
Body detox has been shown to significantly increase the chances of fertility and increase the success of In-Vitro Fertilisation by improving the circulation of blood to the ovaries, uterus, hypothalamus and the pituitary which play important part in fertility in both men and women; and optimising liver function to remove and prevent excess accumulation of unwanted hormones.
Several studies have shown that going through a detox programme can help to normalise the hormone and endocrine system that regulates ovulation, especially if polycystic ovarian syndrome (an abnormality whereby the ovary produces cysts instead of follicles and eggs) is an issue.
Other benefits of a detox programme in the case of infertility are to regulate the monthly period or menstrual cycle, increase blood flow to the womb so as to improve the chances that the embryo will implant, reduce anxiety and stress that may be contributing to the couple being unable to get pregnant; and help to remove heavy metal deposits from the uterus, fallopian tubes and other reproductive organs.
The goal is for conception, healthy pregnancy and healthier life.
Fertility cleansing is not just for women, but also for men. Studies have shown that sperm counts have been reduced to half in the last 50 years and 80 per cent are abnormal. This is because the sperm produced by many men have DNA that is damaged.
Recent studies are now pointing to hormonal imbalances and environmental factors leading to oligospermia (low sperm count), azospermia (absence of sperm cells), and erectile dysfunction or impotence.
Male infertility can be improved by total body detoxification through weight reduction, body cleansing and healthy eating habits.
A few fertility centres now incorporate detox cleansing programme as a diagnostic and therapeutic measure in the management of infertility. An example of Mayr therapy centre is the Mart-Life Detox Clinic in Lagos.

How i got a cure for PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome).
I actually promised myself that i will do this because i never in life thought i would be cured of PCOS because my gynecologist told me there was no cure and because of this i could not take in and get pregnant. I had PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) for 7 years and this was a big pain to me and my husband due to the downcast we felt for not having a child. I experienced irregular periods or no periods at all sometimes, heavy periods, i gained weight (fat). I seeked a cure from one doctor to the other used androgen, clomiphene, metformin and even traveled to different states to see other doctors to no avail. My husband got to know about Dr. ALeta via a testimony he read on the internet on how a woman got a cure and he contacted her with the contact she left. I got the herbal medication and used it for the speculated 3 months that was all i have a son who is just 8 months old. Do not give up just contact her on (aletedwin@gmail.com) on how to get the herbal medication. Thanks and i wish you get cured soon too.
